 
You can dive only if you
are in possession of a valid scuba diving certification card
obtained from the Croatian scuba diving organisation (HRS). The
card is valid one year from the date of issue. It is only issued
to scuba divers who have a valid scuba diving certification of
one of the internationally known scuba diving associations: CMAS,
PADI, SSI, NAUI, NASDS, YMCA, MDEA, NASE, IDEA IANTD, NSS-CDS,
ANDI,TDINACI, PSA, PDIC, SDI, FIAS, ACUC, BSAC, VDST, BARACUDA,
IDD, UDI, … and other internationally known scuba diving associations.
Temporarily issued scuba diving certifications (brevet) are not valid.
The location where you scuba dive has to be clearly marked with an obligatory diving buoy or a flag.
Diving schools have to send the exact
number of divers to the HRS which then returns the attested (verified)
list of the number of

The maximum allowed depth for the recreational sport diving (with air) is 40 meters.
For the diving supervision are authorized Harbour- master' s offices,
the maritime police and diving supervisors from the Ministry of sport and education.
Legal persons who do not hold on to the book of rules for underwater activities
are to be penalised from 3.000,00 kn to 15.000,00 kn, and physical (individual)
persons from 1.000,00 kn to 5.000,00 kunas, plus a fine of 500,00 kn which is to be
paid immediately at the place where the person is caught.
